Why infiltration?

This poster explains the process of infiltration and its benefits. The Sun Valley Watershed Project seeks to make better use of the rainwater that currently washes out to the ocean. Best management practices that allow more of this precious resource to seep into the ground will conserve water while reducing flooding and stormwater pollution.

Watershed Explorers

Learn about the Watershed Explorers program. We're working with students in Sun Valley schools, teaching them about the watershed they live and go to school in, and exploring the causes of and potential solutions to flooding in their community. The program encourages critical thinking, and the hands-on field guide takes users through a series of practical exercises.
