A retention basin at another Vulcan property, the Sun Valley Gravel Processing Plant, could also capture and hold stormwater.
The proposed project would contain stormwater runoff from Vulcan's property that covers over 50 acres.
Because Vulcan uses large amounts of water to process material, onsite stormwater reuse could reduce imported water needs.
The collected water would be treated, then pumped into a storage tank for onsite uses.
